About Sporting News Radio:

Sporting News is a multi-faceted, multi-platform sports information company that has combined the strengths of three leading sports media companies.

American City Business Journals, the nation's largest publisher of metropolitan business newspapers, purchased Sporting News Magazine, Sporting News Online and Sporting News Radio from Vulcan Sports Media Inc., in October of 2006. ACBJ also is a leading sports publisher through its Street & Smith's Sports division, SportsBusiness Journal and Sports Business Daily. ACBJ chairman and CEO Ray Shaw is a distinguished entrepreneur who has served as president of Dow Jones and written for the Associated Press and Wall Street Journal.

In February 2000, Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen bought Sporting News Magazine from Times Mirror. Nine months later, Allen acquired the One-On-One Sports Radio Network and merged it with Sporting News Magazine as part of Allen's Vulcan Sports Media, Inc. Finally, in May 2001, Allen acquired Small World, a leading online fantasy games provider, and created Sporting News as we know it today: a leading sports information company in print, in radio and online with its successful fantasy games.

Headquartered in St. Louis since debuting in 1886, Sporting News Magazine, is the nation's oldest sports publication and one of the most respected information sources in sports. Sporting News properties include the weekly publication Sporting News Magazine, a line of annual preview magazines, high-end sports books, sports licensing ventures and www.sportingnews.com, one of the largest sports sites on the internet, all providing the latest sports headlines, scores, stats, photos, team profiles and insider analysis.

One-On-One Sports, now known as Sporting News Radio, was founded in 1991 and is the nation's leading sports radio network.

The merging of Sporting News Magazine and Sporting News Radio creates a powerful media entity - one that provides the best in comprehensive, national sports coverage from multiple sources, as well as instant recognition to millions of listeners, users and subscribers. As One-On-One Sports, Sporting News Radio evolved from closed-circuit radio broadcasting to become the leader in national sports radio. Initially, One-On-One Sports delivered innovative closed-circuit broadcasts to spectators attending premier sporting events such as golf tournaments and auto races, utilizing custom radio receivers, coupled play-by-play commentary with special programming for the listeners on site.

In 1993, One-On-One moved into sports talk radio through the purchase of the Sports Entertainment Network. Renaming SEN "The One-On-One Sports Radio Network," the new broadcasting company established its headquarters in suburban Chicago. The network provided and delivered high-quality, live sports programming 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
