The Indianapolis Colts say Andrew Luck has been ruled out of Thursday night’s game against Pittsburgh.

The quarterback has been in the league’s mandated concussion protocol since Sunday night when he complained of concussion-like symptoms following a win over Tennessee.

Coach Chuck Pagano has not said who will replace Luck for the 5-5 Colts, though it is likely to be backup Scott Tolzien.

Tolzien has not started an NFL game since 2013.

Elsewhere:

— Cardinals coach Bruce Arians was back at practice Wednesday and said he has been given “an absolute clean bill of health” after being hospitalized on Monday. Arians declined to talk about his brief hospital stay, saying it was between himself and his wife.

— The Seattle Seahawks will likely be without free safety Earl Thomas and cornerback DeShawn Shead for Sunday’s game at Tampa Bay. Seattle coach Pete Carroll is pessimistic that either player would be able to go after suffering hamstring injuries last week against Philadelphia.

— Browns quarterback Robert Griffin III practiced Wednesday for the first time since breaking a bone in his left shoulder during the season opener. It’s a significant step for the quarterback whose career has been undermined by injuries and whose future remains unclear.

— The Packers have decided to leave running back Eddie Lacy and linebacker Sam Shields on injured reserve for the rest of the season. Lacy has been out since Week 5 with a left ankle injury, and Shields has been sidelined since the opener with a concussion.

— The Falcons may have running back Tevin Coleman back in time for Sunday’s game against Arizona. He went through a practice without restrictions for the first time since a hamstring injury in the Oct. 23 game against San Diego.
