The Marshalltown Bobcat football team played at Leonard Cole Field for the first time
in three weeks and made it a successful evenning, downing the Ottumwa Bulldogs, 49 to 7.
The Bobcats capped the first possession of the game as Colton Fuller scored from 6 yards
out with 9:50 remaining in the lst quarter. Tad Steffensen capped the 2nd possession as he
caught a Blake Gimbel pass from 27 yards out to take the score to 14-0 Bobcats.
Two more TD's in the quarter, were followed by 2 in the second to make the game, 42 to
0 Marshalltown at the half. The second half was continuous clock, with the game ending
at 9:05, one of the shortest games in total time. The win gives the Bobcats a 4-2 record, a
three game winning string, and their first win in divisional play as they head to homecoming
next Friday. The Bobcats host Des Moines Hoover in a 730 PM contest.
